Our refrigerated containers offer precise temperature control for transporting and storing temperature-sensitive goods. They are ideal for food, pharmaceutical products and other sensitive goods.
Yes, refrigerated containers must be connected to a power source to maintain the cooling function. This can be done via a regular power supply if they are used stationary. During transport, external generators, known as gensets, can be used to ensure continuous cooling, or when no direct power supply is available. These gene sets are crucial in order not to interrupt the cold chain for temperature-sensitive goods.
Unitainer, of course, offers gensets for refrigerated containers. Our range of accessories for refrigerated containers includes not only practical ramps for efficient loading and unloading, but also the sale and rental of gensets to ensure continuous power supply and cooling.
Open-side containers have an opening along one long side, which makes loading and unloading bulky goods much easier. They are perfect for loads that exceed standard door dimensions.
A double door container and an open side container differ primarily in the arrangement and functionality of their doors. Double door containers have doors on both sides and allow access from both ends of the container, which makes loading and unloading from both sides easier. Open-side containers have one or more doors along one or both long sides and therefore offer greater access to the interior of the container, which is particularly useful for bulky goods that do not fit through the front doors.
Special construction containers are individually designed containers that are modified according to customer requirements for special applications. This includes adjustments for specific industry requirements, technical equipment or individual branding.
Unitainer offers a variety of sizes, from small 6-foot containers to standard 20-foot and 45-foot sizes, as well as specialized sizes such as 10-foot or 45-foot containers.
Yes, shortening containers to specified lengths is no problem with Unitainer. For example, we often adapt 40-foot containers to the old standard size of a 30-foot container or shorten them to the length of swap bodies (7450mm). This adjustment enables flexible use and tailor-made solutions for specific requirements and areas of application.
